As part of the University’s continuing efforts to strengthen technology-enhanced teaching and learning, an orientation on the new Canvas Learning Management System (LMS) course format facilitated by Mr. John Carlo Boleyley, for identified faculty members of the College of Nursing and Allied Health Sciences (CONAHS) on March 4, 2026, at the Nursing Skills Laboratory, N2004.

The activity focused on introducing the updated Canvas LMS course structure, which was designed to provide a more organized, accessible, and student-friendly learning environment. During the session, participants were guided through step-by-step procedures on setting up courses and creating modules, enabling them to organize learning materials and activities in a clear and logical sequence.

A highlight of the orientation was the demonstration of Canvas as a centralized platform where faculty members can efficiently upload syllabi, share files, and embed multimedia resources. By consolidating course materials into a single digital space, Canvas reduces reliance on physical handouts while ensuring that students have convenient access to essential learning resources anytime and anywhere.

Through this initiative, CONAHS continues to strengthen faculty readiness in utilizing educational technologies and implementing student-centered digital learning practices. The activity equipped participating faculty members with the knowledge and skills necessary to maximize the features of Canvas LMS in support of quality instruction.
