New Faculty Members Engage in Digital Teaching and Learning Session

New faculty members from various colleges gathered on June 2, 2026, at PLR 4 for a session on Digital Tools and Resources for Teaching and Tracking of Course Learning Outcomes. The activity was organized as part of the faculty onboarding and development efforts for instructors handling the 3rd Trimester and Summer terms, AY 2025-2026.

Facilitated by the Institute of Teaching and Learning, the session introduced participants to digital tools and resources that can support teaching, course delivery, and other instructional tasks. The discussion also highlighted the importance of tracking course learning outcomes to help ensure that teaching activities and assessments remain aligned with the intended learning outcomes of their respective courses.

The session provided the new faculty members with practical insights as they begin or continue their teaching assignments, while emphasizing the purposeful use of educational technology in supporting effective and outcomes-based instruction.

The activity contributes to United Nations Sustainable Development Goal 4 (Quality Education) by supporting educators’ professional development and strengthening the use of effective teaching approaches and learning technologies that contribute to quality and inclusive education.
